Soccer Training – Lesson 1
Let’s start with personal training.
Running and kicking may be good practice. The game is played in two 45-minute halves, so conditioning is important. Jumping is important too, and one of the best ways to train your endurance and jumping skills is to do what boxers and tennis players do when training: skip rope.
Soccer Training – Lesson 2
The game is played with 11 players on each side. One is a goalkeeper. The object is to get the ball into the goal of the opposing team. The ball may be kicked, and may be propelled by hitting with the head. But, the player cannot touch the ball with their hands. The goalkeeper is the exception, and may use their hands to catch the ball and keep it out of the goal.
More lessons to come! Keep visiting. We hope to add podcasts in the future, from well-known coaches and players.
